About

I build the whole system, not just the part that shows

I am a Full-Stack Developer working across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, integrations and deployment. In practice that means I can take a requirement from a conversation through to something running in production, without handing it between people at each layer — which is usually where time and budget go missing.

What I enjoy most is the difficult part: working out why a system behaves the way it does, and finding a solution that is practical rather than clever. A lot of my work involves inherited codebases — applications that still earn money but that nobody currently understands. Making those reliable again is a different skill from starting fresh, and it is one I have spent a lot of time on.

I care about systems being maintainable and scalable, but not as abstractions. Concretely: the next developer should be able to read the code, the next feature should not require a rewrite, and when something breaks at 2am the logs should say what happened.

I work across two ecosystems that rarely appear on the same CV. On one side: React, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS, MongoDB and Redis, usually for products with real-time or API-heavy requirements. On the other: Laravel, PHP, MySQL, WordPress and WooCommerce, usually for businesses that need custom logic on top of a platform they already run. Being fluent in both means I can recommend the option that fits your situation instead of the one I happen to know.

Based in Lahore, Pakistan, working with clients across time zones. Most of my communication is written and asynchronous, with calls when a decision genuinely needs one.

How I work

A process that keeps surprises small

Five stages, each ending in something you can see. The point is that direction gets corrected early, when correcting it is cheap.

    Discover

    Understand the business, the users, the requirements and whatever already exists.

    Plan

    Define architecture, technology, data flow and an implementation order.

    Build

    Develop the frontend, backend, integrations and business logic.
