WooCommerce Development

WooCommerce handles a standard store out of the box. The work worth paying a developer for starts where your business stops being standard — unusual pricing, conditional access, a fulfilment process that has to match how you already operate.

Checkout and cart logic

Custom fields, conditional shipping and payment methods, dynamic pricing, discount rules that finance can actually explain, and validation that stops bad orders before they are placed rather than fixing them by hand afterwards.

Products that are not just products

Bookings, courses, memberships, subscriptions and services all need rules WooCommerce does not ship with — dates, durations, entitlements and expiry. I have built exactly this kind of logic, including a WooCommerce and LearnDash system where the customer chooses a course start date and a number of weeks, and access is calculated from those choices.

Orders, fulfilment and back office

Order status workflows that match your real process, admin screens that show staff what they need, automated notifications at the right moments, and exports for accounting or logistics. Most stores lose more time in the back office than on the storefront.

Integrations

Payment gateways, shipping and courier APIs, accounting systems, CRMs and email platforms — with webhook handling, idempotent processing so a repeated callback does not duplicate an order, and logging you can check when a client asks what happened.

Questions

What clients usually ask first

If your question is not here, ask it directly — a short answer up front saves both of us time.

Can you customise checkout without breaking payment gateways?

Yes. Changes go through WooCommerce hooks and filters, so gateways, tax and shipping keep working. Everything is tested on staging with real gateway sandboxes before it reaches the live store.

We already own several plugins. Do we need custom development?

Not always. Sometimes the right answer is configuring what you have properly and removing the overlap. I will tell you when that is the case — it is cheaper for you and a better outcome.

Can you build time-based or conditional course access?

Yes, and I have done it. Access driven by a chosen start date and duration, enrolment triggered on payment, and expiry handled automatically — with the rules kept in one place so they can be changed later without archaeology.
